The world of work is changing, especially for those entering the workforce. According to “The New Work Reality”, a report written by the Foundation for Young Australians, there are a number of factors leading to difficulties in career transitions for young people. These include lack of targeted education, lack of career education and not enough jobs.

The activities that lead to faster transition include

  • Building enterprise skills
  • Finding relevant paid employment
  • Career management skills
  • A Growth mindset

Get ahead of the pack by understanding how to create your own career. This one-day workshop will help you to discover how to accelerate the transition to a fulfilling career.In this course you will learn about:

  • What influences your current situation
  • The growing job clusters
  • How to find jobs in those clusters
  • Finding your strengths and values
  • Matching strengths with clusters
  • Increasing your enterprise skills
  • Creating and managing your future

Outline of the day:

  • Section 1: Understanding where you are and how you got here
  • Section 2: The current world of work
  • Section 3: Strengths, values, interests and skills
  • Section 4: Creating your future action plan
